All Parent Portal Letters have been sent out, another copy can be requested by contacting the school office.

Dear Parents:

We are pleased to announce that the Parent Portal will be open and available online starting on September 6 for you and your son/daughter to monitor his/her academic progress and attendance. The Daily Bulletin is also posted on the Parent Portal. In order to access this service, you will need to go to the Summerville Union High School District website:

www.summbears.net

On the website, scroll to the bottom of the home page, and click the “PowerSchool Portal” link under the External Resources heading. It will display “Parent Sign In” which will be used for both Parent and Student sign in use. If you have not created your parent account, click “Create Account” and follow the instructions. At the “Link Students to Account” field, enter your Parent Access ID and Parent Access Password. You will be able to sign in using the Username and Password that you created. Additional
students may be added to your account by using the “Account Preferences” tab.

Parents must use the account WebID and WebPassword that they created. If you need assistance, please contact Ben Orr at 928-4228, ext. 255.

The screen will display attendance for the current week and the previous week. On the grade screen, click on each individual class grade for a more detailed summary of your student’s grades. Please keep in mind that grades may not be updated every day, and that grades will change as teachers enter information. A grade of “0” or “( )” may indicate that an assignment was not turned in, or it may show that an assignment has not yet been entered.
