Superintendent

Brett S. Christopher

Brett spent his first years in education teaching 7th-12th grade students for the San Joaquin County office of Education in Social Science, Math, and ELD and also coached baseball. He then moved and began working for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District where he taught English and Social Studies at East Avenue Middle while also coaching both baseball and basketball. Brett then moved to Livermore High School where he taught social science and leadership while continuing to coach. Eventually Brett became a Vice Principal at Livermore High School and served in that role for 4 years before becoming the Principal of Summerville High School.

Brett has been the Principal of the Summerville Union High School District for the last 4 years. He loves the atmosphere of campus, the support of the community, the hard-working staff, and of course, the students. He is proud to be a Bear and loves to see the students grow and find success inside and outside of the classroom.

Brett lives in Tuolumne County with his wife Stephanie and his two children Grayson and Ella. Brett and Stephanie enjoy being active in youth sports and activities with their children, traveling, and spending time with their extended families who also live in the area.
