Sports Physicals

Ensuring the Health and Safety of Our Athletes

At Summerville Union High School, the health and safety of our student-athletes are paramount. All students participating in any sports must complete a pre-participation physical examination to ensure they are fit to join the team activities safely.

What Does the Physical Include?

Sports physical exams are comprehensive assessments that include:

  • Height and weight measurement
  • Blood pressure and vision checks
  • Musculoskeletal evaluation
  • Medical examination covering ears, nose, throat, lymph nodes, heart, pulse, lungs, and abdomen

Where and When?

This year, the sports physicals will be provided by Adventist Health Sonora, offering low-cost options for our families:

Dates and Locations:
  • May 20: Summerville High School and Big Oak Flat School District
  • May 21: Sonora High School
  • Time: Drop-in visits from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Location: Adventist Health Sonora Health Pavilion, 900 Mono Way

The fee for the physical is $25, payable by cash or check to Adventist Health Sonora. Proceeds will be split between the schools’ athletic programs and the Adventist Health Sonora Injured Athlete Fund.
