Hello Parents and Guardians,

Please take some time to read about the many exciting events coming up at the end of the year!


Summer Credit Recovery Program

Students who need to make up credits in order to stay on track for graduation will be able to participate in a credit recovery program this summer.  The first session runs from June 17-

July 5.  The second session runs from July 8-July 26. Registration forms are available in the office.  An information session for students needing to attend summer school will be held at lunch in the library on Monday, May 20.


Snow Make Up Day

Due to school cancellations for weather, there will be a snow make up day on Friday, June 7.  There will be no finals schedule.  Classes Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 will follow our regular weekly schedule. Friday, June 7 will be a minimum day schedule. Students will be released at 12:27pm.

Scholarship Awards Night

Scholarship Awards night will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:30pm.  Seniors receiving scholarships or awards will be invited to the ceremony.

May 29-30—Grad Nite trip to Disneyland

June 5—Alternative Education Graduation, 7pm

June 6—8th Grade Graduation, 5pm

June 7—High School Graduation, 8pm

High School Graduation on Friday, June 7, 8pm

*There will be a senior breakfast at 8:30am on June 7, followed by a mandatory graduation rehearsal from 9:30am until noon.

*Seniors need to return to campus by 6:30pm on Friday evening, in their dress attire, carrying their caps and gowns. Graduation contracts will be distributed to seniors in May.

*The stadium will open at 6pm for seating.  There is no saving of seats.  There is not a limit on the number of guests a senior may have.  Families are encouraged to arrive early.

* Parking will be available on campus but will fill up fast. Once campus parking is filled, parking will be available at Westside in Tuolumne. Summerville High School buses will be providing transportation from the Westside parking area to school and back before and after the ceremony.  Buses to/from Westside will run from 6pm to 11pm.


The Sober Grad 2019 Committee is in need of volunteers to help with the following dates and times to ensure the success of this great community event for our Summerville High School graduating Senior Class:

Thursday, June 6: 5:00pm -7:00pm  Set Up

Friday, June 7: 8:00am Complete Set Up

             8:00am -12:00pm Decorating Committee

             10:00pm -3:00am. Sober Grad Event!

Saturday, June 8: 7:00am -10:00am Clean Up

             9:30am Garbage Pick-up/Table Clean Up

In addition to volunteers, the Sober Grad committee is asking for donations of bottled water and soda. The committee is also seeking  contributions of cash, gift certificates, merchandise, or or services to use as a sponsorship for an activity or Sober Grad Night prizes for students.  Your contribution is tax-deductible and a receipt will be sent to you. Donations can be dropped off in the school office any time during business hours.
